Biodiversity around us- Insects

On one of our Sunday walks we were lucky enough to be able to observe and photograph this beautiful butterfly. Its common name is Speckled wood (Pararge aegeria), and it can be found in the forests of Portugal and the rest of Europe. The eggs of this species hatch in 10 days. Green in color, their descendants are perfectly camouflaged among the grasses. Finally the result is what can be seen in the photographic record
