We are in a privileged area of the Algarve, Praia do Burgau.
Located on the urban seafront of the fishing village of Burgau, set in a shallow cove.
On top of the cliffs, to the east are the ruins of the 17th-century Fort of Burgau, and to the west, the Fort of S. Luís. These were intended to defend the existing fishing center in the region.
This village is the boundary of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park.
It preserves intact the essence of the Iberian Peninsula, a nature reserve overlooking the wild Atlantic, as it was in the beginning.
Pedestrian walks make us dream of the sound of sea waves, birds, native species and other unique species that in observation delight us with nature.
